Traditionally, the Japanese like to choose this tea with their meals and are considered a classic "everyday tea". The large-leaved tea is obtained from the lower shoots of the tea plant. The leaves are rich in minerals, but contain up to 70% less caffeine than the Gyokuro teas made from young shoots. After the infusion, the regularly processed leaf material reveals its true size and shows its fine leaf structure. The taste is soft and the delicate, subtle smoothness is only slightly grassy. Due to the unobtrusive note, this tea is very suitable for green tea beginners and long-term connoisseurs.
